Trip to Guilin, Yangshuo and Ping'An
We arrived in Guilin and went straight to a huge cave called "Reed Flute cave". It is called "reed flute cave" because reed flutes were the way to find the entrance for Chinese who were hiding from Japanese attacks during World War II. At the exit of the cave, I found a great ninja sword, which I kept with me through the rest of the trip (they even let me carry it on to the airplane back to Beijing - and it looks real!)
The next day we went on a long boat trip from Guilin to Yangshuo. The scenery was beautiful and very famous - look at the picture on the back a 20 RMB bill and that is where we were ! We even saw several waterfalls.
And we were attacked by pirates!
Then we arrived in Yangshuo.

Great pictures and wonderful written descriptions -- you are a natural storyteller. I think my favorite picture is of you two in front of the giant butterfly. And how did you ever find a Ninja sword -- amazing! I know you love swords so that was very fortunate. But no swordfights please! Talk to you soon -- Daddy
